Not that bad
Shed No. 8
Shed No.8 – Shiraz
Ripe, red and black fruit aromas overlay minimal oak (12 months French Oak) and rich soft tannins lead to a clean, long finish.
‘Maya and Max’ – Chardonnay
A modern incarnation of the variety, with a focus on fruit rather than artifice, it is youthful and crisp in the glass.
‘Jack’s Lot’ Shiraz
Our 2014 ‘Jack’s Lot’ is deep crimson, with red edges. Red fruits; liquorice; woodspice; plums and violets lead the aromatic charge.
Pinnacle Pinot Gris
With the rise of the “natural wine” movement, we were pleased to discover we’d been making this wine “that way” for years…with wild yeast , no additions and no clarification, this is a wine of energy and life.
Pinnacle Pinot Noir
Proudly medium-weight in the glass. Crimson, fading to red edges. There’s a truffle-driven allure – an intriguing complexity to the aromatics.
Pinnacle Sauvignon Blanc
Lovely rich straw colour from centre to rim – it’s erudite and refined. It has a tease of citrus, and a hint of dried-herbs with fine ribs flowing from an acid spine.
‘Isabelle’ Cabernet Franc Merlot
Vibrant purple – the colour more the sum than its parts. Red fruits and a brooding core in concert with oak-derived spice. Its strength is through its subtlety.
Pinnacle Cabernet Franc
Cranberries and BRIGHT red cherries – overtly aromatic, and compelling before it’s sipped. There’s no identity crisis here – unmistakable FRANC – the fruit sits proudly above all else.
‘Tom and Harry’ Cabernet Sauvignon
Red currants, dried cranberries and cassis – classic, cool-climate Cabernet aromatics. Oak gives direction, but fruit leads the way.
It’s not opaque, but it is serious. Intense notes of white pepper; woodspice; and mulberries. Fragrant and generous. A Northern Rhone sensibility (Hermitage) adorns this wine.
